Social sciences are crucial for understanding ourselves, our societies, and the world around us, fostering critical thinking, and developing informed citizens. They equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to analyze social issues, address inequalities, and participate actively in shaping a more just and equitable world. 

Since its inception, the department of Social Science has enriched itself over the years. At present it comprises of five pillars Mr. M Haque, Ms. N Perveen, and Mr Suraj Prakash, specialized in Geography while Mr Pannalal Paswan and Mr Bablu Kumar, specialized in History. The faculty members do handle Civics, Economics and Disaster Management classes apart from their subjects.

Other than human resources the department of Social Science has an array of teaching aids in a addition to the conventional ones to make teaching learning process a rewarding experience.

The faculty strives to integrate innovative ideas in their approach to the subjects. This attempt has resulted in the increase of number of distinctions by students in the secondary level examination. Some of the students have proved their mettle by scoring centurion in Social Science in X^th Board for the last many years.

Besides the members of the department do contribute substantially towards the preparation of Cadets for the UPSC exam every year and various competitions  at  all level.
