The Department of Physics was incepted in 1963 along with founding of the school by late Mr J L Das, Physics teacher who was later decorated with “National Award” as an outstanding teacher of Physics. Sri D Kumar ,PGT Physics, Sr. Master is also a National
awardee.
At Present the Physics lab richly endowed with practical equipment both working and dummy models and teaching aids that ignite scientific temperaments of the formative minds. The lab can at the movement, accommodate 40 students at any given time for the conduct of practical classes and hubby classes.
Presently the department comprises a team of four teachers, a lab assistant and a lab attendant. In addition to normal preparation for CBSE Board Examination, the department imparts training for UPSC (NDA/NA) entrance test (written part), National Talent Search Examination and Science Olympiad.
