Sainik School Tilaiya Library is acting as a powerful knowledge and Information resource center. This works as a hub of educational activities of this esteemed institution and being utilizes as a knowledge laboratory.

The Library of Sainik School Tiliaya is one of the largest library in Sainik Schools with a collection of around 17000 books and non-book materials like CDs, DVDs, eBooks etc.  It is catering informational, recreational, curriculum and competitive (UPSC, Olympiad, NTSE etc.) need of students and staff. The library is rich in its collection having variety of books such as fiction, non-fictions, biographies, UPSC NDA/NA Books, SSB guides, children books, Reference books, educational CD’s and DVD,s, eBooks etc.

The books are classified as per DDC and having offline OPAC. Library is having seating capacity of 60 users at a time. The school Library works with the aim of school to send maximum cadets to NDA.  To achieve this it works with authorities and teachers to provide best possible resources and place for study and preparation to cadets. Library is subscribing number of magazines and newspapers to cater the need of students and staff. Along with this each student of class XI and XII are getting one newspaper in their hand so that they can prepare themselves and keep updated with all national and international happenings The library works on the mantra of “Learn to Read” for class VI to VIII and “Read to Learn” for class IX to XII with an aim to make them lifelong self-learner and an informed citizen.
