The Department is headed by Mr. M. Pathak (MCA, ADCA, BCA) along with two well qualified teachers namely Mr. Rajesh Kumar (MCA, ADCA, BCA) and Mr P K Jha (MCA, ADCA, BCA). This department has latest electronic equipments which are used for educational purposes. The Computer lab consists of good number of multimedia computers of latest configuration so that each student gets an individual computer during practical. The department has not only rich in the terms of hardware but also in software such as Eureka Educational Software for Science Subject from Class sixth to 12 and JIL Bharat Vidya software for social science uoto class – X and Practical of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
As far as the result is concerned the department has been producing excellent results in CBSE Class – XII board examination. Many a time the score of the subject was the highest amongst all Sainik Schools and the State of Jharkhand.
A state of art English Language Lab with the capacity of 40 + 1 has been established in the school.
Now, by understanding the facts that there is always scope of improvement, the department has made all class room of the school as modern class room by installing smart class room equipment by with Digital Podium, Interactive board, Sound System, ceiling mounted DLP projector, visualizer etc.
IT Club
This club is a part of Department of Computer Science providing the platforms to the students to utilize their knowledge and creativity using computers. This club, as name suggests, has a fast accessing broad band Internet facility for all cadets in this school. In addition this club also provides the educational software to the cadets for extra studies on concerned subjects and helps in maintenance of this web site.
