The Department of Biology boasts of a very rich collection of specimen which are unique in its own way. This singular distinction was achieved over the years because of the special efforts made to collect specimens of local flora and fauna. The collection of human embryos at various development stages, foetus of cow, potter’s hive, human skeleton, varieties of local snakes like krait, rat snake, viper, python etc. speaks volumes of this vast collection.

It has in its stock teaching aids such as hand drawn and permanent charts, museum specimens, models, transparencies for OHP that comes in handy for class room instruction, thus facilitate the teaching learning process easier and interesting. The department has been provided with computer for electronic data storage.

The department got many prizes and trophies in Sahodaya Science Exhibition organized by Sahodaya Schools Complex.

The department is also looking forward to the cadets to joining in larger numbers in the field of medicine including AFMC (Pune) and Biotechnology as well.

Mr. N Upadhyay, PGT is the current Head of the Department. Mr. P K Thakur, TGT and Mr. S M Thakur, TGT are also teaching in this Department.
